Pitch Selection, Consistency/Quality of Contact
Pitch Selection will tell you the percent of the time a hitter is Taking a Ball or Swinging at a Strike vs Swinging at a Ball or Taking a Strike.
Consistency of Contact shows a hitters bat to ball skills and how consistent they put balls in play vs swing and miss or fouling pitches off.
Quality of Contact shows how well hitters hit the ball when they put the ball in play. Soft/Hard Contact and Groundballs/Flyballs/Line Drives have different value to determine this metric.
These three metrics together can help hitters improve their approach at the plate
